Doiley Project Progress

It's a good feeling when a stage of a project is completed.
Although I tried to concentrate really hard, there was
still much cutting off of motifs joined in the wrong place!
This piece is destined for one of the shows, not to win
(there are infinitely better tatters in our Guild), but to
support the section, which will be cancelled if there are
not enough entries. Hopefully, the tatting bug will be
buzzing around somewhere, and there will also be new
tatters!

That is a beautiful doily, you did such a nice job. You do such lovely work on big projects! It's amazing how quickly the tatting buzz does get around if you start talking about it, one year tatting wasn't in the fair where I used to live and the next year it was after I started teaching classes. THe homearts chairman told me that the reason tatting got put back as an entry section after years of being "extinct" was because classes were being taught...those were my classes! I felt glad to give back a little to an art that has meant so much to me.
